A FEW OF THE ITEMS WE WANT...

JACKSON C. FRANK Jackson C. Frank (1965 UK Mono 12-track LP by the hugely underrated and highly influencial American folk musician who was one of the original pioneers of the movement in the UK, produced by fellow ex-pat Paul Simon, front laminated flipback picture sleeve 33SX1788)
See 'More Info' for further details ...

Tracklisting: Background: It is to our great shame that as a company we have been over thirty five years finding a copy of this, his one and only official album release. A massive influence on Sandy Denny, Bert Jansch, Wizz Jones, Nick Drake & more. Thanks to him persuading Sandy Denny to give up Nursing and concentrate on Music, he was also responsible for that angelic voice being more widely heard. Overlooked at the time, except by those who knew, the opener 'Blues Runs The Game' has since also been recorded by Simon and Garfunkel, Wizz Jones, Counting Crows, John Mayer, Mark Lanegan, Headless Heroes, Colin Meloy, Bert Jansch, Eddi Reader, Laura Marling and White Antelope, while Nick Drake also recorded it privately. The parallels with Nick Drake are tragically similar. Equally underrated until after his death. Condition: The sleeve remains in Excellent condition with just a little light shelfwear and some minor discolouration to the unlaminated back, but again, nothing too extreme and all text is clearly readable including the pinched spine print. Not bad at all for something over fifty five years old. The vinyl is very nice indeed and has retained its sheen with some spindle marks around the centre hole and very few light surface scuffs visible upon close inspection that have no impact on play whatsoever. I doubt that we'll be lucky enough to find another in a hurry, so if you want it, grab it quickly ! Tracklisting: Blues Run The Game Don't Look Back Kimbie Yellow Walls Here Come The Blues Milk And Honey My Name Is Carnival Dialogue (I Want To Be Alone) Just Like Anything You Never Wanted Me
JACKSON C. FRANK Jackson C. Frank (1966 UK second press 12-track MONO vinyl LP, the hugely underrated and highly influencial American folk musician who was one of the original pioneers of the movement in the UK, produced by fellow ex-pat Paul Simon, front laminated flip-back picture sleeve SX1788)

Condition: The sleeve remains in Very Good condition with a small scuff to the top of the sleeve and some minor discolouration to the unlaminated back, there is also a vintage shop sticker to the reverse and all text is clearly readable including the pinched spine print. The Second pressing without 33 suffix in the labels first catalouge number on sleeve, the 2nd on labels. Not bad at all for something over fifty five years old. The vinyl is very nice indeed and has retained its sheen with some spindle marks around the centre hole. There are also a few light surface hairlines, more visible to side 2 upon close inspection. The record sounds very clean with just the lightest of crackles on side 2, otherwise little to no issues with the sound quality. I doubt that we'll be lucky enough to find another in a hurry, so if you want it, grab it quickly! Tracklisting: A1. Blues Run The Game A2. Don't Look Back A3. Kimbie A4. Yellow Walls A5.
