Pinhas was the French answer to Robert Fripp inthe UK & Manuel Gottsching in Germany, i.e. worthy of investigation! Stand By HELDON 2 - Allez-Teia (1975 first French issue 9-track LP on a green Disjuncta label, the second album by the Synth-Prog outfit from France led by Richard Pinhas, who wore his influences on his sleeve with song titles such as In The Wake Of KingFripp & Moebius, which was no bad thing in this case; waves of fuzz-tone, Frippian guitars, ARP & VCS3 synthesizers, tape loops & mellotron all come together to form a spacerock classic. Unfortunately the face of the members have been crossedthrough with marker pen on the inside of the flimsy gatefold sleeve shows, which only a little light scuffing from storage. However all text remains legible, with the vinyl in spectacular near 'as new' condition, and is a fantastic example of this rare album at an advantageous price.
