Let us start by saying that this is one HELL of an album. Pressed on high quality heavyweight vinyl, the sound quality is phenomenal, with every subtle nuance of the interplay between the members of the Trio standing out & the full dynamics of the performances captured perfectly. Multiple facets of group improvisation are explored, so you can expect quite a ride.
The front laminated sleeve sports a fascinating design with stunning monochrome shots of the Trio on the rear. Upon close study there is a bit of scuffing along the spine & at the bottom due to some overlap in the nature of its manufacture, & some mild crinkling to the laminate nearing the edges but nothing at all dramatic. It remains relatively wear free & the colours are rich & vibrant, with no discolouring or annotations so often found on Jazz records.
The vinyl is clean & plays beautifully. On close inspection, there are a couple of ever so faint light paper scuffs or mild hairlines in a few small areas which have little to no effect during play, visually grading somewhere between EX-/EX. The labels show no spindle marks indicating minimal play. We believe a collector would be most happy with this example.
This is an extremely rare Jazz LP, much sought after worldwide & is notoriously difficult to find. Who knows if we will ever see one again! |
