DICK MORRISSEY QUARTET Resurrection Ritual (1989 UK 6-track LP, also featuring John Burch on Piano, Tony Archer on Bass & Jim Hall on Drums, picture sleeve. The sleeve itself has seen better days with considerable edge scuffing and a few 'black felt tip' scuff repairs, but remains intact, com-plete and readable. The vinyl remains in excellent condition with little sign of play. A master of his craft, Dick Morrissey LPs are proving ever difficult to find these days and although this one is a mere twenty eight years old, we've never had a copy before - So here it is ! MMO77)

DICK MORRISSEY QUARTET Here & Now & Sounding Good! (Limited edition 2006 Japanese 180 gram Vinyl issue of the 1967 6-track mono LP, the follow-up to Storm Warning on Mercury & another surefire winner that kept Morrissey top of his league, with backing from Harry South [piano], Phil Bates [bass] & Bill Eyden [drums]. The high quality picture sleeve replicates the original artwork & album notes, complete with a Japanese insert & obi-strip UCJU-9059)

Tracklisting: Off The Wagon Corpus Don't Fall over The Bridge Sunday Lunch Little Miss Sadly El Schtuck
DICK MORRISSEY QUARTET Here And Now And Sounding Good (1993 Japanese issue of the wonderful 1967 6-track stereo vinyl LP, recorded 23rd & 25th September 1966 in London with Phil Bates on Bass, Bill Eyden on Drums and Harry South on Piano, performing Tubby Hayes' Off the Wagon and Don't Fall Over the Bridge, with a nod to fellow British Jazz legend Stan Tracey with Little Miss Sadly, picture sleeve reproducing the original album artwork & 'N Presents' obi-strip NLP6006)

Tracklisting: Dick Morrissey really should need no introduction. He sadly left so little recorded music behind him under his own name, thanks to a dislike of the sometimes clinical atmosphere of the recording studio, that he's not as well known as Tubby Hayes, for example, but he really should be. Easily amongst the best Sax players Britain has ever produced, he was most often found doing what he loved best, playing live to an appreciative audience. If you were lucky enough to hear him play, as I was, you will know just how good Dick was. One of British Jazz's best kept open secret treasures. This was his fifth album, and the first since 1963 to not be recorded live. Off The Wagon Corpus Don't Fall Over The Bridge Sunday Lunch Little Miss Sunday El Schtuck
DICK MORRISSEY Jazz for the Moderns 1962 (2017 UK limited edition 13-track vinyl LP released exclusively for Record Store Day - This collection captures the era in which London produced its own take on the jazz trends of the day, is a valuable addition to that select catalogue. Not only does it showcase four of the UK’s best bop-apprenticed jazz talents in top form, all of them alas long gone, it provides moods and grooves that remain strong enough to catch a new generation oflisteners. Housed in the sealed picture sleeve R&B18)
DICK MORRISSEY QUARTET Storm Warning! (Rare & in demand 1966 UK 6-track mono LP on the 'rough' textured black & silver label, also featuring Harry South on piano, Phil Bates, bass & drummer, Phil Seamen, a British Jazz Quartet of the highest calibre. Please see 'more info' for condition details... 20077MCL)

Tracklisting: 1. Storm Warning 2. What Is There To Say 3. Come Rain Or Come Shine 4. Wind Of Change 5. Get Out Of Town 6. March On Condition :- Obtained from a one previous owner collection of late fifties, sixties contemporary jazz LPs, this one is a corker! The picture sleeve shows only very light fading at the edges, with no splits or blemishes to upset the print & a gorgeous spine. Simply an allround lovely, excellent condition example. The labels are bright & clear with no marks. The vinyl is super clean & plays through like a dream. Visually, there is a little faint axial wear to the grooves but nothing of any real consequence or anything that interferes with playback. All in all, a wonderful, excellent condition, example that should take pride of place in every jazz collection worth its salt!
