Why Or Maybe It's Because BYZANTIUM Live & Studio (Fantastic and infinitely rare original psych classic vinyl LP from 1972. This amazing album of rural progressive guitar is by far the best of the 3 album releases by the band. It was privately pressed while the band weretrying to secure a record deal. Due to the costs of record production only 100 copies of this magnificent debut were pressed. The black & white picture sleeve shows just a few signs of edgewear and discolouration. With just a couple of spindlemarks on the labels, the vinyl is in stunning near mint condition - an amazing copy. See 'More Info' for further details....) Tracklisting: Byzantium were members of the early 70s British psychedelic scene who released three albums between '72 and '73. ' Their debut 'Live And Studio' is their most collectable (it was a self produced, limited release), but it is also undoubtedly their best. When trying to describe their sound, other bands of the time like 'Man, Help Yourself' come to mind, due to the spacey West Coast vibe featuring long improvised guitar solos and nice vocal harmonies. Both of these tracks appear here as stereo versions, and would later surface on the group's privately pressed 'Live and Studio' album, the latter as 'Move With My Time'.
