Their label at the time Trustkill was on the brink of demise, and the depature of long guitarist Scott Danough put the band in a difficult position. Enter Jona Weinhofen (I Killed The Prom Queen, Bring Me The Horizon) on guitar, and production duties handled by Devin Townsend and you have Declaration, a hardcore meets black metal monster. The guitars are devasting, the drumming pounding, and the eerie organs and keyboards add to the dark overtone of this album. Tracks like Orange County Blonde and Blue, and Death Anxiety are the perfect outlets for vocalist Brandan Schieppati to vent his anger.
