A FEW OF THE ITEMS WE WANT...
| BYZANTIUM Seasons Changing (Ridiculously rare test
pressing for the 1972 UK 8-track LP, a never before seen
Prog Psych effort from a British band that helped launch the
careers of Chaz Jankel [Ian Dury & The Blockheads] & Shane
Fontayne[Bruce Springsteen]. The labels are custom plain
white with hand annotated artist/side details plus 'Porky
Prime Cut' etchings ['Far Out' & 'Solid'] & catalogue/matrices
in the run-outs. Very few of these were produced, usually just
a small select handful to test the sonics or in some instances
send for review, & certainly never sold to the public in this
form. This one is housed in the limited edition poster sleeve,
complete with company inner. The sleeve is a little creased
around the edges with some faint discolouring but still holds
up well & was only originally used for reference. The vinyl is
super clean & looks barely touched AMLH68163)
Tracklisting: A1 What A Coincidence
A2 My Season's Changing With The Sun
A3 Show Me The Way
A4 I'll Always Be Your Friend
A5 October Lady
B1a Part One: Something You Said
B1b Part Two: I Can See You
B1c Part Three: Morning | | BYZANTIUM Live & Studio (Fantastic and infinitely rare original psych
classic vinyl LP from 1972. This amazing album of rural progressive
guitar is by far the best of the 3 album releases by the band. It was
privately pressed while the band weretrying to secure a record deal.
Due to the costs of record production only 100 copies of this
magnificent debut were pressed. The black & white picture sleeve
shows just a few signs of edgewear and discolouration. With just a
couple of spindlemarks on the labels, the vinyl is in stunning near mint
condition - an amazing copy. See 'More Info' for further details....)
Tracklisting: Byzantium were members of the early 70s British psychedelic scene who released three albums between '72 and '73. ' Their debut 'Live And Studio' is their most collectable (it was a self produced, limited release), but it is also undoubtedly their best. When trying to describe their sound, other bands of the time like 'Man, Help Yourself' come to mind, due to the spacey West Coast vibe featuring long improvised guitar solos and nice vocal harmonies.

An amazing one of a kind package, a great piece of British psych history! | | BYZANTIUM Oh Darling (Rare original 1971 UK double sided 7" metal
based methyl cellulose lacquer acetate with handwritten studio labels,
also including Move With The Time. Both of these tracks appear here
as stereo versions, and would later surface on the group's privately
pressed 'Live and Studio' album, the latter as 'Move With My Time'.
The acetate displays only a a handful of light surface marks on one
side only - remarkable condition, as the way they were manufactured
made themvery susceptible to wear)
Tracklisting: 1. Oh Darling
2. Move With The Time | | BYZANTIUM Flashing Silver Hope (Rare original 1971 UK 1-sided 7"
metal based methyl cellulose lacquer acetate with handwritten studio
label. This is a studio mix of a track that would later appear in a live
version on the group's privately pressed 'Live and Studio' album. The
way acetates were manufactured made them very susceptible to
wear, however this copy remains in superb condition, displaying only
a handful of light scuffs!)
