Tracklisting & More Information

Condition:-

Sleeve:-
Obtained from a one previous owner collection of jazz records, with many bought as exotic imports from the US at their original time of release, this is a wonderful collector's example. This sleeve appears Excellent with lovely clean edges & no splits or writing. The laminate is nice & sharp looking with no creases or fading to the colours on the front. There is a UK tax import sticker on the back which pinpoints the era. All text remains clearly legible & the spine reads perfectly, with a little natural age yellowing to the back slick forgiveable with age.

Labels & run-out:-
The important bit of the run-out area, along with the Rudy Van Gelder 'RVG' stamp, is the Plastylite 'ear' etching both sides. This tells you this is indeed a first Blue Note pressing before the company was bought out by Liberty in the late sixties. Confirming this is the original 'New York USA' address on the labels both side. The labels have no writing or tears & there is minimal signs of play around the spindle area.

Vinyl:-
The vinyl has been professionally cleaned & remains in Excellent condition. Sound quality is exceptional & there are no marks or scratches. On close inspection, you can see a few faint paper hairlines either side when held to light in no way affecting play. Completing the package is the original Blue Note catalogue inner, which exhibits some minor splitting at the sides due to its thin paper structure but just try & find a better one! All in all, a wonderful collector's example that comes highly recommended.
