ART BLAKEY & THE JAZZ MESSENGERS The Big Beat (Sealed Limited Edition 2009 US 6-track stereo double LP mastered from the original analog tape & pressed on 180gram Virgin Vinyl at RTI in Camarillo, CA as part of Music Matters' 'Blue Note The Definitive 45RPM Reissue' series. First released in 1960 & recorded by Rudy Van Gelder, this Blakey classic also stars Lee Morgan on Trumpet, Wayne Shorter on Tenor, Bobby Timmons on Piano & Jymie Merritt on Bass. Comes housed in the highest quality gatefold cover which is a heavyweight & deluxe design with a glossy finish & original session photography on the inside. The sleeve & vinyl remain in Mint condition, still in the unopened tear bag MMBST-84029)
