JOHN COLTRANE Trane's First Ride 1951 (Limited Edition 60s US-only 8-track LP, containing rare broadcast recordings captured live at Birdland in January 1951, a collector's item for it contains some of John Coltrane's earliest recordings. The young Trane is on tenor sax & Dizzy Gillespie can be heard on electrifying form on trumpet, with backing from Milt Jackson, J.J. Johnson, Billy Taylor, James Foreman, Percy Heath & Art Blakey. The unique pasted picture sleeve grades VG with lightageing & some minor paper fracturing around the edges whilst the vinyl is clean & grades Excellent with faint cosmetic signs of play only)
