U2 The Best Of 1990-2000 (Schott N.Y.C. genuine fine- to mid-grain black leather jacket, one of the rarest promotional items created for the extensive UK marketing campaign. The outside features two open front pockets and one zipped chest pocket, with a black-on-black stitched Schott N.Y.C. monogram above. Inside is a smuggler's dream with more pockets than you can possibly ever need! The jacket features a heavy duty YKK full length vertical zip. The inside is very tastefulwith large square-stitch pattern burgundy red lining, and contrasting small diamond-stitch black lining to the lower section. What makes this unique is the embossed leather patch displaying U2 logo, head-to-head buffalo decals and album title, measuring approx. 2 ½ inches / 62mm square - this custom leatherwork is stitched to the lower left side, inside the jacket. Fun fact: in 2002 this jacket was really expensive to buy. So much so that the promotions team were told not to give any to radio & TV staff at the state-funded BBC as its high value might be construed as a bribe!
