For his second album Macdonald charts the evolution of African-American music on the 17 minute plus title track, from tribal drumming through to bluesto jazz to funk, it's an all-star cast with drummers Idris Muhammad, Steve Gadd & Rick Marotta as well as soloists including Michael Brecker, David Sanborn & Bob James.
