WILLIAM ONYEABOR Atomic Bomb (Original 1978 Nigerian Afro Synth
5-track private press LP by the Nigerian funk musician/businessman,
released on William's own Wilfilms Records label. Onyeabor was
re-discovered in recent years, first by TalkingHeads' David Byrne for
a compilation on his Luaka Bop label, there was also a wonderful
Noisey/Vice magazine documentary & even an interview with Lauren
Laverne for BBC Six Music, recorded a few years before he passed
away, where he stated "Ionly create music that will help the world"!
This record is definitely the bomb & includes the mini-funk epic 'Better
Change Your Mind' [think early Money Mark, made 15 years earlier!].
Comes housed in the original silk picture sleeve with original inner.
This record was bought from new in the UK at the time, so remains in
beautiful condition [hard to find above a G grade!]. Both the sleeve &
vinyl are Excellent, with some faint ring wear scuffing & a deep sheen
both sides with very minor signs of use only, havign play tested the
record the disc plays through fabulously with no interruption to play
sounding crisp and clear, a lovely example and a great find!
