KENNY DORHAM Trompeta Toccata (Rare 1965 US first press 4-track MONO LP on the original 'New York' address Blue Note label, with 'Van Gelder' stamp & the all important 'ear' etching both sides of the run-out. This was Dorham's last outing as a leader, bringing a little Latin into the Jazz & starring Joe Henderson [with his 'Mamacita' getting its first airing], Tommy Flanagan, Richard Davis & Albert Heath. Comes housed in the original heavy duty pasted picture sleeve with the 'West61st' address on the back. This is an outstanding one previous owner example. The panels are nice & clean with no seam splits or writing & the sleeve is Near Mint, revealing only one tiny spot of corner wear with age. The heavyweight vinyl is Excellent with a deep sheen both sides & just the lightest evidence of play. Recommended BLP4181)
