THE WIND IN THE WILLOWS The Wind In The Willows (Rare 1969 Japanese promotional sample 11-track stereo LP, pressed exclusively on Wine Red Everclean Vinyl. This band of New York hippies is best-known as thedebut recording of Blondie's Debbie Harry. Their sole album is a dreamy collection of psychedelic folk-pop that perfectly captures the innocence & whimsy of the 1960s flower-power dream [an obligatory purchase for lovers of The Mamas &Papas & sunshine pop in general!]. The gatefold picture sleeve [VG+] shows a little minor edge discolouring & some faint ring wear scuffs. There is a build up of foxing on the inside, a common occurence with Japanese paper goods over time, & all print remains clearly legible. The vinyl grades EX/EX- with a nice deep sheen both sides & just some faint paper hairlines not affecting play. Recommended CP-8520)
