MILES DAVIS Miles Davis & Horns (Rare 1958 US second issue of the 1956 8-track mono LP, on a black & yellow deep groove 'fireworks' label with Bergenfield N.J.' address both sides & 'RVG' etched in the run-outs. Features historic sessions recorded on January 17th 1951 & February 19th 1953 with Sonny Rollins, Bennie Green, Al Cohn, Zoot Sims, Sonny Truitt & more. The pasted picture sleeve has been reinforced in the past with heavy duty tape around the closed edges, standard procedure for fifties US sleeve jackets to avoid nasty seam splits. This has been done very tastefully & in matching red, not obscuring the fantastic David Stone Martin artwork & with all text clearly legible including along the spine. The panels are nice & clean with no writing & there is a small 'FS' stamp to a back corner, possibly for review purposes. The vinyl has been professionally cleaned & grades Excellent with just light evidence of play. A beaut! PRLP7025)
