Kings Of The Blues

ALEXIS KORNER presents Kings Of The Blues (1962-64 UK set of all three 4-track 7" vinyl EPs featuring historic recordings made between 1928 & 1947 of authentic 'Country Blues' that survived mostly by being passed along from Troubadour to Troubadour before the advent of recording equipment made things like these EPs possible. Many of these guys were old seasoned dudes long before they were sat in front of a microphone. The front laminated picture sleeves have all survived in excellent condition with a name written on the back but little general storage wear. Two of the EPs have had their centres removed but the vinyl remains in VG/VG+ condition all told with a few visible surface hairlines but none deep enough to cause problem with playback. Given the Wax Cylinders that some of these tracks were recovered from, the crackling that you heard is probably part of the original recordings. A nice chance to pick up a complete set of these classic EPs at an advantageous price 45-RCX202/3/4)
