DONALD BYRD Byrd's Eye View (Amazing 1956 US 5-track mono LP on a black & gold Transition label, also starring Hank Mobley, Joe Gordon, Horace Silver, Doug Watkins & Art Blakey, heavy duty pasted & laminated picture sleeve with a unique promotional-only four-star review sticker across the front with Nat Hentoff, Downbeat hype & a small catalogue booklet for Tom Wilson's label enclosed. This jaw-dropping find was obtained from its one fastidious owner, who kept the record & sleeve in near PRISTINE condition ever since. Both the sleeve & vinyl appear as close to near mint as you're ever likely to find, making this a proud entry for us in our jazz store TRLPJ-4)
