JOHN COLTRANE Giant Steps (1962 US issue of the 1959 7-track mono LP, on the red & purple Atlantic label with black fan logo to the right, a landmark recording and one of the greatest musical achievements in American jazz. Includes the jaw-dropping rollercoaster ride of the title track & Countdown, plus the beautiful, mature ballad Naima, written by Trane for his then-wife, Juanita Naima Grubbs, pasted laminate picture sleeve. The sleeve shows a tiny 1" paper split in the corner but is otherwise in superb condition with minimal wear. The vinyl is clean with just a few faint paper scuffs to indicate play - a nice VG+/EX- example)
