TOM WAITS Bone Machine (Original 1992 UK first press 16-track LP, including numbers like Earth Died Screaming, Dirt In The Ground, All Stripped Down & Murder In The Red Barn, this was Wait's first album of the nineties, earning a Grammy Awardfor best alternative record that year. Expect creepy, bare-bones production throughout, recorded in a room in the cellar area of prairie Sun Recording studios north of San Francisco [described by Waits as "just a cement floor & a hot water heater"], with steampunk-sounds, industrial thuds & skeletal rhythms [some tracks ended up being used in films such as 12 Monkeys & Fight Club!]... an intense listen & a standout in the Waits back catalogue. Complete with the lyric inner, the picture sleeve shows very little of its age & the vinyl reveals a few paper scuffs [mostly to Side A] but remains in Excellent condition ILPS9993)
