FAIRPORT CONVENTION Fairport Convention (Extremely rare 1968 UK first issue 12-track MONO LP, featuring Ian MacDonald, Judy Dyble, Richard Thompson, Simon Nichol, 'Tyger' Hutchings & Martin Lamble, produced by Joe & Tod Lloyd for Witchseason Productions. Recorded well in advance of their future popularity, this record sold quite poorly & has now become very difficult indeed to find. Apart from the optimistic single 'If (Stomp)', most of the rest of this album has long since disappeared into history. This is the first copy we have seen in nearly 12 years. This is a nice copy of this classic debut that, although overlooked at the time, is now seen as the groundbreaking album that it actually was.

The sleeve displays some minor wear with a few creases to the laminate and some laminate lift on the back along the spine, yet all print remains clearly legible.

The labels have just a few light marks around the spindle hole but remains clean and free from paper loss or any writing. The vinyl is also very clean with only a handful of cosmetic scuffs, which thanks to the 1960s heavy vinyl, have little to no effect on play & surface noise is kept to an absolute minimum.

Get it while you can or you could be waiting a very long time for another one to surface!
