MICHAEL GARRICK SEPTET Black Marigolds (Rare British jazz 1968 UK 9-track deep groove stereo LP on a purple Argo label, featuring Garrick on piano, harpsichord & celeste, Ian Carr, Joe Harriott, Don Rendell, Tony Coe, Dave Green & Trevor Tomkins plus additional drum work & poetry from Colin Barnes. Highlights are the Indian raga inspired title track plus the modal workout 'Ursula', the latter compiled on Volume Two of Gilles Peterson's 'Impressed With' comp. The front laminated sleeve has aprevious owner's name penned on the reverse but this is unobtrusive to the print - the labels have a little spindle wear yet the vinyl is clean and shows no scratches.
