MILES DAVIS Aura (1989 US 5-track Armed Forces Radio LP radio show featuring approximately half of the double LP release, the first to feature Miles with a big band for over twenty years. The compositions were by Danish composer/trumpeter Palle Mikkelborg, who actually composed the suite theme based on notes derived from the ten letters in 'Miles Davis' & titled the individual movements according to the colours he saw in Miles' aura! The album features a core unit of Niels-Henning Ørsted Pedersen, Thomas Clausen and Marilyn Mazur, but several notable guests perform including John McLaughlin. This radio show comes in a plain white card sleeve with custom labels RL46-9)
