PAUL MCCARTNEY & WINGS Band On The Run (2010 issue Japanese Limited Super Deluxe Edition 4-disc [3 SHM-CD/1DVD] set - Originally released in 1973, Wings' third studio album, 'Band On The Run', triumphed both critically and commercially, topping both the UK and US album charts, won a Grammy and went on to sell more than 7 million copies. This 4-disc set comprises the 9-track digitally remastered SHM-CD album; Two Bonus SHM-CDs featuring nine bonus recordings including thehit single 'Helen Wheels', the One Hand Clapping television special, and a remastered documentary disc featuring interviews and alternative versions of the album tracks; plus a Bonus DVD containing rare footage of the McCartney's in Lagos, behind-the-scenes at the famous album cover shoot and original 'Band on the Run' music video clips. All set within a limited numbered 120-page hardbound book containing many previously unpublished images by Linda McCartney and Clive Arrowsmith, album and single artwork and a full history of the album, complete with lyrics, Japanese sleevenotes booklet, new interview with Paul and expanded track by track information for all four discs!)

The SHM-CD [Super High Material CD] format features enhanced audio quality through the use of a special polycarbonate plastic. Using a process developed by JVC and Universal Music Japan discovered through the joint companies' research into LCD display manufacturing, SHM-CDs feature improved transparency on the data side of the disc, allowing for more accurate reading of CD data by the CD player laser head. SHM-CD format CDs are fully compatible with standard CD players.
