MOTOWN LABEL This Record Was Pressed Specially For (Extremely rare 1968 UK single sided Promotional vinyl 7" issued as an invitation to a special reception at EMI House at 12:30PM on Tuesday 19th November, to honour Diana Ross & The Supremes being chosen for that years Royal Command Performance. These were sent out ONLY to party invitees, who were senior Company people or influential media people. The record itself plays the classic 'Love Child' with a voiceover by Ken East, new Managing Director of EMI, inviting the recipient to the reception. The label is a unique design & has the name of the recipient hand written in chinagraph pencil on a dotted line. Needless to say, very few were produced & of those, very few survive. In this spectacular condition, with just a few light cosmetic surface scuffs, it may well be unique. Stored safely in the extensive archive of the recipient for over forty years, this is a spectacular item & a crown jewel for both Supremes & Motown fans! PSRS319)
