BOINGO Only A Lad (1981 US 10-track vinyl LP - the full-length debut album from the Elfman/Bartek centred New Wave band. This record shows a radical change in direction for the group, having been widely considered a cabaret act prior to this release, but the ever-changing time signatures and keys, as well as heavily borrowed jazz and classical harmonies, strongly show Boingo to be more than a cabaret act, and confirm Elfman's skill as a songwriter.
