THE DURUTTI COLUMN Love In The Time Of Recession (2009 UK 11-track CD album - With a title partly inspired by the title of Gabriel García Márquez's novel, 'Love In The Time Of Cholera'. The album opener, 'In Memory of Anthony', is inspired by Vini's career-long friendship with Tony Wilson, as he notes 'He always encouraged me to follow my instincts. And that's still how I work. All the new songs are a very true reflection of my life and that's all I want anyalbum to be'. Elsewhere on the album, 'For Bruce' pays instrumental tribute to the gonzo drum-master himself, Bruce Mitchell.)
