THE MONKS Black Monk Time (Official 2009 US Light In The Attic label 18-track advance promotional CD-R acetate including 6 bonus tracks - I Can't Get Over You, Cuckoo, Love Can Tame The Wild, He Went Down To The Sea, Pretty Suzanne and Monk Chant[Live]. Custom stickered disc with catalogue number LITA042 + promo picture sleeve and back insert. The Monks were 4 American GIs stationed in Germany in the early 60s, after starting out as a typical beat band, they developed a unique, sinister and downright threatening style in late 1965, much of which predated the same sentiments that would be attributed to punk 10 years later, featuring searing feedback, pounding drums, barked nonsensical lyrics, manic organ, fuzz bass and electric banjo!)
