JESSE ROSE featuring HOT CHIP Forget My Name (2008 UK limited edition 3-track 12" vinyl single - For people in the know, Jesse Rose is no new name, the recent remixer of Hot Chip, Armand Van Helden and Simian Mobile Disco served his apprenticeship under the watchful eye of Switch years before he was remixing everyone and producing M.I.A's album. With Hot Chip [and especially Joe Goddard] being well known purveyors of cutting edge dance music, a chance meeting in 2007 forged a friendship with Jesse & Joe. 'Forget My Name' is a track that Joe wrote after coming back from playing Rock AM Ring in Germany, hearing nothing but indie music, he called Jesse and they made the whole track together. Backed up with a dub version and the huge B-side 'Touch My Horn'; where the A-side is a long atmospheric groover that will keep your head nodding and your toes tapping, the flip goes straight into the peak-time set, based around a selection of horn samples, it's a shoulder-popper of the highest degree.)
