U2 October - 1981 -1982 (Ultra rare 1981 official Island Records UK promotional wall calendar, produced to celebrate the release of the 'October' album. Each page features band photographs & cover shots with large title writing on the cover. Thecalender is spiral bound and measures 23" x 17" & was only issued to leading record stores in the UK. It is likely that the majority of these were destroyed at the end of the year which probably explains why we have never seen one in the lastTWENTY SIX YEARS. CONDITION

A delightful rarity and typically quirky for the period the overall condition is excellent with a minor central crease and scuffs to betray it's age. As the item was intended for display it is not surprising that some ageing and wear is visble but none of these defects should deter a serious collector.

It is not often that we are able to comment ' First we have seen in 26 years' with an artist such as U2, butwith the quite likely small number of copies remaining in existence have ensured this rarity to be in major demand.
