THE WHITE STRIPES Conquest (2007 UK limited edition wide centred 7" single pressed on Red Vinyl - Originally written by Corky Robbins and popularised by Patti Page in the 1950s, Jack & Meg's cover version of 'Conquest' sets a pit-heavy, bass-laden guitar against a mariachi trumpet creating a blistering nouveau flamenco number, climaxing in a violent musical battle with Mexican trumpeter Regulo Aldama; including the Acoustic Mariachi version plusexclusive b-side recording [co-produced with Beck] 'Cash Grab Complications On The Matter'. The vinyl looks barely played housed in an title-stickered picture sleeve XLS320C)
