This set collects together in one box the first four singles in their original sleeves that were released by the band on their own label, Hearpen. All of these extremely rare and collectable singles were recorded and released between 1975 and 1977, in limited editions of 1000 to 3000. The Hearpen Singles catches the band young but already fully developed, musical radicals inventing their own totally unique sound as they go. The first two singles feature the massive talent of their original guitar player, Peter Laughner, who died tragically young before the end of 1977. The Hearpen Singles are classic, definitive and essential Pere Ubu.
