THE POGUES Rum Sodomy & The Lash (2006 US 12-track LP pressed on 180gram VINYL, the band's second longplayer, originally released in 1985; produced by Elvis Costello, this features all the band's hallmark sounds as displayed on their debut'Red Roses For Me', but with a more accomplished feel, Shane MacGowan's songwriting was blossoming by the day [included on the album are the singles 'A Pair Of Brown Eyes' and 'Sally Maclennane'] and the release found the band arguably at thepinnacle of their powers, housed in a replica picture sleeve RHI174157)
