BEIRUT Gulag Orkestar (2006 UK 2-CD set from 20 year old Zach Condon, whose D.I.Y. bedroom-produced music sounds like the glorious dance of a 12-piece Balkan gypsy orchestra and is comprised of a 11-track CD album that swirls & sways with a procession of horns, violins, cellos, ukuleles and more alongside a wonderfully brash, drunken sound which whirls around his histrionic & bewitchingly plaintive vocals plus the follow-up 'Lon Gisland' EP which develops further the wealth of ideas & capabilities displayed on 'Gulag Orkestar')
