Indeed you ask how can this only be £195??

Well, when produced by Island this presentation award would have been glazed with glass. Somewhere in the history of time, the glass had been broken and as a result, the silver lacquered discs bore the brunt of the damage. They are visibly marked and scratched pretty much all over and the black vinyl beneath the lacquering shows through in several places.

The miniature album artwork has a small crease in it and you can see one or two small scratches across the paper but otherwise, is intact with sharp edges and corners.

This all said, and it's not all bad, what you do still have here is an official award by one of the world's most prominent bands for just under £200! You will see that if you were to purchase this in Excellent or Mint condition, you will be paying £1500 or thereabouts. So it really is a bargain for any of you U2 fans out there whose budget doesn't quite stretch to the mint copy.

The original brushed aluminium frame is intact and original, plus the Union Jack emblem in the top left corner and the brushed aluminium presentation plaque are all still preserved as produced originally.

The whole award is currently glazed with a sheet of perspex and as with any non-glass glazed award, we would always recommend you replace this with a sheet of non reflective glass. We're sure it will be a talking point and look 'the bizz' as they say once it's hanging on your wall so don't miss this chance to own a genuine and original award at a rock bottom, never to be repeated, price.
