The one and only album from the Newcastle Big Band on the small independent local label Impulse, who also distributed the 2000 copies that were pressed.

Sting plays bass on all 8 tracks, which were all instrumental and recorded on a two-track Revox tape recorder.

The vinyl itself is in superb condition showing few signs of play

The labels are plain white with a boxed 'Newcastle Big Band' stamped in large black capital letters, 'Special Issue' stamped in smaller red letters and 'Side One' stamped in even smaller black letters.

On side 2, there's the same 'Newcastle Big Band' and 'Special Issue' stamps but nothing else to signify that it is side 2!

Matrixes of 'IS-NBB106A' and 'IS-NBB-106-B'.

The picture sleeve has a white background with 'NEWCASTLE BIG BAND' in large green capital letters above a half sleeve size blurred picture of the band performing, where you can just about make Sting out in the back row!

It also has an original 'Impulse' sticker in the top left hand corner.

Overall the sleeve is in excellent condition with some minor creasing, although it does have sellotape marks on both top and bottom edges, where someone attempted to hold the sleeve together when the original glue folds dried, causing the sleeve to open out. This has since been carefully re-glued.

Still a fabulous example of the rarest Sting vinyl collectable!
