A FEW OF THE MOST RECENT ITEMS WE WANT...

THE SOFT BOYS Underwater Moonlight (Classic 1980 first issue UK 10-track LP with A2/B2 matrices, the only issue to feature the amazing 'Skin It Back' version of Old Pervert. As, according to Kimberly, the master tapes have long since been eaten by wasps, this track has not been released on CD & is unlikely to be in the future. It also benefits from being first generation, untweaked, & sounds awesome! front laminated picture sleeve. The sleeve has some light edge scuffing with the vinyl looking as near as new. A fntastic copy of this now cult classic! ARM1)

Tracklisting: 1. I Wanna Destroy You 2. Kingdom Of Love 3. Positive Vibration 4. I Got The Hots 5. Insanely Jealous 6. Tonight 7. You'll Have To Go Sideways 8. Old Pervert 9. The Queen Of Eyes 10. Underwater Moonlight
JEAN-MICHEL JARRE Oxygene 8 (Rare 1997 UK 2-track ultra high-grade methyl cellulose metal based lacquer reference 33rpm 12" one sided test pressing for the promotional only release. Featuring the Hani's 101 & 303 Reprise, the A-Side for the European 12" single (664323 6). This has a Whitfield Street Recording Studios label with hand annotation, including the track title, artist name and mixes, housed in a plain die-cut card sleeve with hand written details. An acetate is a transitional stage between the master tape and the finished vinyl record, and allows the sound to be checked without great expense. The playing surface has a few light surface scuffs, otherwise a fantastic and highly collectable item)

Tracklisting: An acetate is a transitional stage between the master tape and the finished vinyl record. Originally acetates were used for home recording in the days before tape recorders, but since the advent of cassette tape & CDR are now no longer used for providing bands & their entourage copies of today's studio efforts. A machine actually cuts the grooves into the acetate like a lathe. The acetate is used to assess whether the music has been successfully transferred to disc. It is checked by the sound engineer. There may be only one copy made of a particular recording, sometimes more are cut and sent to the studio and band members for approval. The acetate comes before making the master, and allows the sound to be checked without great expense. It is unusual for more than a dozen to be manufactured, so from the collector's point of view an acetate is a rare find indeed! If the recording is rejected the acetate may be the only record that survives. The rejected cut may simply be poor quality, however the artist may have opted to use a different take of the song, if so, the acetate becomes much more precious. An incredible find - possibly unique - and certainly one of only a handful. 1. Oxygene 8 - Hanis 101 2. Oxygene 8 - Hanis 303
