Comes from 'USA' CD-R acetate

Advance 2001

REM Advance 2001 (Mega rare 2001 US 14-track Warner label security watermarked & numbered pre-advance promotional CD-R acetate for the 'Reveal' album. This february master of album is different from the later promo advance or the subsequent, commercially released album as features the two tracks 'Fascinating' and 'Free Form Jazz Jam' both of which never made it to the final album release. Also includes an alternative version of 'Beat A Drum' called 'All I Want', a longer version of 'Imitation of Life', a version of 'All the Way to Reno [You're Gonna Be a Star]' with an alternate ending and simply titled 'Reno', plus slightly different mixes and/or instrumental changes in 'I've Been High' and 'She Just Wants to Be'". Neither of the unreleased tracks nor any of the alternative mixes have ever been released commercially.However, the band allowed the Murmurs.com fan community to offer downloads of 'Fascinating', which had also been covered by Fischerspooner. Custom printed disc complete with an 'Advance 2001 Not Final' tracklisting insert without any mention of the band name on teh disc or insert)
