A FEW OF THE ITEMS WE WANT...
| DON RENDELL Music In The Making Volume II (Rare 1954 UK mono
7" EP with tri-centre intact, featuring covers of 'Caroline' (Boland) and
'I'm Beginning To See The Light' (Ellington), with Jimmy Deuchar
(trumpet), Keith Christie (trombone) & Dill Jones or Derek Smith
(piano). The front laminated sleeve is rather discoloured and lightly
creased but still holds up superbly, and the vinyl plays to a very good
standard EPV1034) | | DON RENDELL QUARTET The Great Don Rendell (Extremely rare
1955 UK tri-centre 4-track 7" EP on Tempo, starring Damian
Robinson (piano), Pete Elderfield (bass) & Don Lawson (drums),
showcasing the natural talent of Rendell on tenor, recordedwith
nosecond takes. Includes such standards as You Stepped Out Of A
Dream and Slow Boat To China. The front laminated flipback picture
sleeve reveals no tears or heavy wear of any sort, with a clearly
legible and tape reinforced spine showing no discolouration. The vinyl
is near mint, carefully handled by its previous owner with loving care.
An incredible find! EXA11)

4. Yesterdays | | DON RENDELL - BOBBY JASPAR COMBO In Paris (1955 UK

the Brit-Jazz star alongside the fine Belgian tenorist, recorded
March 17th, 1955 with Dave Amram (French Horn), Maurice
Vander (Piano), Sacha Distel (Guitar), Guy Pedersen (Bass) &
Jean-Baptiste Reilles (Drums), front laminated flipback sleeve
with notes & facsimile signatures from Don & Bobby. The
delicate sleeve has a small half inch split in the back opening
& a smallprice annotation, all unobtrusive. There is otherwise
just a little light corner creasing & the odd paper chipping in
the corners. The vinyl is a lovely EX/EX- example with just a
few mild cosmetic scuffs not affecting play. A remarkable find
