ERNEST RANGLIN TRIO Wranglin' (Archive Quality 1964 UK first press 6-track mono LP by the Jamaican Jazz guitar legend, Ernest's first album for Island Records, beautifully captured at the famous Ronnie Scott's Club in London with backing from thelate Malcolm Cecil on bass & Alan Ganley on drums. This was released the same year Ernest received credit for his arrangement on Millie Small's hit version of 'My Boy Lollipop' & whilst Malcolm Cecil was in the London Jazz/Mod groups withDick Morrissey & Alexis Korner [long before he sculpted the sound for Stevie Wonder with TONTO]. This is a really nice one previous owner copy. The picture sleeve is in Excellent condition with clean panels, secure flipbacks & a little natural ageing mostly around the edges of the laminate. The heavyweight vinyl is Excellent to Near Mint with just the odd spindle mark & very faint cosmetic signs of its vintage. As good as it gets! ILP909)

TIM BUCKLEY Starsailor (1970 US 9-track vinyl LP pressed by theColumbia Records pressing plant in Pitman, on the deep groove Straight label with 'Straight Records, a division of Bizarre Inc., 5455 Wilshire Blvd., Suite 1700, Los Angeles, 90036'address at the bottom. Tim's sixth studio album, the most unique and uncompromising release of his brief but productive career, as he moved away from folk rock and began to incorporate jazz and avant garde textures into his music. Housed in a pasted picture sleeve with both Straight & 'WB' logos on the front, and includes the company paper inner. The sleeve displays just a little ringwear but has no splits or rips, the inner has minimal wear with no splits, and the vinyl shows only very little signs of play, an outstanding example and the first we have ever had WS1881)
