They gained prominence in the United Kingdom after winning the Ready Steady Win! competition, a contest designed to find 'the next Beatles',with a grand prize of £1,000 and a recording contract with Decca Records. This was the only release the band would record for Decca, includes the B-Side Tell Me, and went on to sell over 20,000 copies, but didn't chart very well, so the recordlabel sold their contract to Columbia Records in 1965.
