B5 I'm So Confused | | MICK SOFTLEY Songs For Swinging Survivors (Rare 1965 UK first
issue 12-track mono LP on the blue & black Columbia label - Mick was
a true Folk-singer in the vein of Bob Dylan [but born in South
Woodford, Essex in the UK], as he so deftly proved on this, his sought
after debut. A big influence on the more famous Donovan, Softley's
stunning voice & guitar playing is captured here in all its glory, with
impeccable versions of Billie Holiday's 'Strange Fruit' & Woody
Guthrie's 'PlainsOf The Buffalo'. The front laminated flipback picture
sleeve grades VG & shows some light creasing in the laminate & mild
age discolouring on the back [couple of small pen annotations to the
back corners], with a little corner scuffing to the paper. The vinyl has
been professionally cleaned & grades VG/VG- revealing spindle marks
& hairlines & light play. On a mono playback setting, any surface noise
is kept to a bare minimum. Our first & only copy! 33SX1781)
