The whole set is digitally remastered from the original sources & spans a ten year period from 1968 to 1978, including Swiss Cheese/Fire! which documents a famous 1971 concert at a casino in Montreux where the venue burned down [inspiring the lyrics of Deep Purple's 'Smoke on the Water']. Each album is housed in its respective album jewel case [Swiss Cheese/Fire! is a double] with picture inlay. FRANK ZAPPA Big Swifty Part 5 (Unique 1972 US score for the piano and keyboard as HAND WRITTEN by FZ, complete with Frank's own annotations - time signature changes, effect settings etc. Running across four sheets of stave, as it does, itseems incredible that Frank actually hand wrote each of the parts for the twenty piece band arrangements & even more incredible that it still survives in pristine condition thirty seven years later. This manuscript comes from the personal collection of Marty Perellis, who was the road manager for the tour & has also been authenticated by David Ocker who, later, became Zappa's music copyist [1977-1984].
