DIZZY REECE QUARTET/THE JAZZ COURIERS 1958 BBC Jazz Club Acetate (One-off 1958 UK 12" double-sided metal based ultra high-grade methyl cellulose lacquer acetate, containing a unique & unreleased recording of the March 27th, 1958 BBC radio 'Jazz Club' broadcast, introduced by Dill Jones & produced by Jimmy Grant. The acetate is housed in a reference sleeve stickered 'Couriers' & has a blank Pretex manufacturing label. Considering it was common practice at this point for the BBC to wipe & re-use tapes for other programmes, this makes for quite a discovery to say the least. DIZZY REECE Soundin' Off (Rare original 1960 US 6-track deep groove mono LP on Blue Note with West 63rd address both sides of the label, plus 'ear' markings and 'RVG' stampers in the run-out. Also stars Walter Bishop Jr, Doug Watkins & Art Taylor. The heavyweight pasted sleeve is front laminated, and shows signs of discolouring on the back, however all print including the spine is clearly legible. There is a small half inch split bottom right and edge scuffing, yet the condition is overall very good. The heavyweight vinyl has been professionally cleaned and play grades to an excellent standard, with little in the way of surface noise to detract from the listening experience.
