6-track LP pressed on 160gram Vinyl - the Velvets' 1968
sophomore LP saw them distance themselves from Andy Warhol,
casually losing sometime singer Nico along the way; this, then, is the
only official recorded document of the band in its purist form, captured
at Scepter Studios, New York, in September 1967, untainted by
outside influences, other than producer Tom Wilson & engineer Gary
Kellgren, and what an uncompromising slab of noise they served up,
including the legendary 17-minute 'Sister Ray', the free-jazz freakout
of 'I Heard Her Call My Name' and 'The Gift', a heartwarming tale of

edition 9-track vinyl LP, offering the original version of the legendary
1st album, recorded at Scepter Studios in New York in April 1966 -
subsequent sessions in May [TTG Studios, Hollywood] and November
[Mayfair Studios, New York] would yield the final tracklisting for the
released version. Rescued from an acetate discovered in a thrift store
in New York in 2002 [and purchased for a grand total of $0.75,
eventually sold on eBay for $25,200!!], the session includes drastically
different versions of 'European Son', 'Heroin', 'Venus In Furs' and 'I'm
Waiting For The Man', alongside alternate mixes of 'I'll Be Your Mirror'
and 'Femme Fatale' - the historical significance of this release cannot
