With originals now regularly fetching four figures on the collector's market, this Japanese issue is a welcome return of a much missed album. Complete with Japanese insert, the fully laminated flipback sleeve & labels reproduce the originalissue exactly without a barcode on the sleeve to spoil the period feel. The only difference is that this copy is as new & pristine. According to the original liner notes, meticulously restored in this faithful reissue, half of the tracks were recorded with the lights in the studio turned off. The deep relaxation and concentration brought by the dark environment on July 17th 1956 undoubtedly enhanced the performance.
