PINK FLOYD / THE BEATLES Dark Side Of The Moon / Sgt Pepper (Extremely Rare & possibly unique 1979 UK test pressing of Pink Floyd's 'Dark Side Of The Moon', pressed onto a Sgt Pepper picture disc LP [PHO7027]. Both of these picture disc LPs were pressed at the EMI Hayes plant at the same time & this copy was produced by mistake, then overstickered with typed centre labels with 'SHVL804 Dark Side Of The Moon' & 'Sample Pressing For Test Only' text & dated 30th March 1979. As what they were testing was the sonicfidelity of the pressing, the fact that the picture was not correct actually didn't matter for their purposes, so it was sent out to Mickie Most Productions office anyway for sonic review. It then came into the possession of a former employee of the company & has remained with them ever since - until now. The picture disk comes in a plain white sleeve, stickered 'Sample Picture Disc SHVL804 30.3.79'. The sleeve itself shows some wear but the disc itself is fantastic, without a mark on it. An incredible potentially one-off collectable from a strange combination of circumstances that will never be repeated. A Gold Chip rarity for both Pink Floyd & Beatle collectors alike !)
