PINK FLOYD A Collection Of Great Dance Songs (Extremely rare double sided 12" metal based high quality methyl cellulose lacquer acetate for the 1981 6-track LP, manufactured by Pathe Marconi EMI with custom printed factory labels including thestudio's original telephone number & Boulogne-Billancourt street address around the perimeter. The labels are annotated in pencil with the tracklist & side detail for the compilation which saw release in Europe on 23 November 1981. Note: it appears the facetious 'Great Dance Songs' album title was not put in place at this early stage, with no mention of it anywhere on the labels. Comes complete with the very rare Pathe Marconi die-cut factory sleeve. Usually the acetate comes before the master & allows the sound to be checked without great expense, with very few ever made. The surface of the acetate remains in superb condition with just the lightest cosmetic wear associated with the media. One of a kind) more...
