ultra-high-grade methyl cellulose metal based lacquer reference single
sided test pressing acetates with a playing speed of 33 1/3rpm,
featuring the Vocal and Instrumental versions. Released as the fourth
single from album, Thriller, on the 8th May 1983. The discs each have
Allen Zentz Recording studio labels, custom typed with with artist
name, the abrivated title [instead of Wanna Be Startin' Somethin'] and
dated '4-22-83', with a stickered studio card sleeve. These would have
been produced in very small numbers before the finished article,
intended for sonic review & not commercial resale. The disc remains in
nice condition with just faint signs of cosmetic wear only natural with
acetates. Very tough to find).

Released as the second single from The Wiz: Original Motion Picture
Soundtrack, distributed by Epic Records and his first solo single after
Michael and his brothers signed to the label. This disc has Capitol
studio labels printed with 'Epic Recordings' along with artist name,
track detailsincluding length & dated 'Dec. 11/78-Wally', with a plain
die-cut sleeve. This rarity was pressed in miniscule amounts before the
finished article, intended for sonic review & not commercial resale. The
disc remains in nice condition with just faint signs of cosmetic wear
