Recorded at the Van Gelder Studio in Hackensack, New Jersey, the album showcases Coltrane's newfound 'sheets of sound' approach to magnificent effect, with Red Garland on Piano, Paul Chambers on Bass & Art Taylor on Drums, heavyweight pasted picture sleeve. Condition :-

This collector's copy is still in partial open shrink, or in those days a thicker style transparent bag. This is how it was imported & sold in the UK at the time, as its one fastidious owner can testify. It is complete with the original wax paper inner, as most Prestige titles of the era would have had. With only the odd corner bump & one small paper scuff mark to an open edge corner, the bag has kept the cover in as close to Near Mint condition.

The vinyl has been professionally cleaned & playback is outstanding, as expected. The disc grades EX/EX- with a few minor spindle marks & just the odd faint paper hairline not affecting play. This is the earliest deep groove mono pressing that will surely only increase in value & comes recommended.
